Jacksonville man charged with multiple crimes after drug bust by JPD, CEIG – WLDS

Officials with the Jacksonville Police Department released more information Monday morning about an arrest involving the Special Response Team and members of the Central Illinois Enforcement Group.

Yesterday morning around 10:30 a.m., the Jacksonville Police Department’s Patrol Division, Special Response Team and Central Illinois Enforcement Group executed a search warrant at a residence in the 600 block of East State Street. Officials say the order was a direct result of an investigation over the past few months.

As a result of the search, the following drugs were recovered: 263 grams of methamphetamine, 166 grams of fentanyl, 76 Xanex pills, 817 grams of cannabis, 13 pint bottles of Promethazine with dextromethorphan cough syrup, various other prescription medications and a small number of psilocybin mushrooms.

28-year-old Christopher S. Robinson has been formally charged by the Morgan County Prosecutor’s Office with Class or delivery of phenantyl between 100 and 400 grams. 100-400 grams. Robinson has also been charged with manufacturing and/or supplying cannabis between 30 and 500 grams. Robinson also had outstanding charges pending adjudication as of Jan. 19e to arrest.

Robinson remains held in the Morgan County Jail pending a pretrial detention hearing.
