ASBTDC at ATU staff members earn statewide awards

Staff members Ronda Hawkins and Amy Brenner of the Arkansas Small Buiness and Technology Development Center Regional Office at Arkansas Tech University were recognized for their economic development efforts at the ASBTDC Spring 2024 Networking Meeting in Little Rock.

Hawkins, director of the ASBTDC regional office at ATU, received the best consultant award in two categories for her work with current and future entrepreneurs. For the fourth year in a row, she helped the most new companies win the ASBTDC Startup Star award. Hawkins was also named an ASBTDC Capital Projects Star as the consultant who helped clients with the highest number of projects funded for the year.

Brenner was recognized as an ASBTDC Values ​​Ambassador for her demonstration of the organization’s core values: service, integrity, collaboration, impact and inclusivity. She serves as the office’s administrative assistant.

ASBTDC’s Arkansas Tech Regional Office is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration through a partnership with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the ATU College of Business and Economic Development.
